Have you lost and gained weight before?

Many of our participants have lost and gained weight multiple times, in some cases hundreds of pounds. We’re committed to helping you control your weight, that is, losing weight and prevention of regaining it. Ninety-two percent of our participants lose weight, and over a 6-year period after our program more than two-thirds continue to lose or prevent regaining the weight they’ve lost.

How We Help You

We provide you with authoritative, research-based information and strategies for weight loss through group sessions. We believe overweight and obesity are chronic diseases, and for many an addiction, so we offer our follow-up program where you can continue for as long as you like. We know the challenges of controlling weight… we’ve been doing this for more than 30 years. Group sessions are proven effective for weight control (losing it and prevention of regaining it); they build camaraderie, support, and a chance to interact with peers who “get it”. Depending on the group, leaders will include a psychologist, registered dietitian, and exercise physiologist, all with expertise and experience in helping you control your weight. We are 100% committed to your success and work as hard as possible to help you achieve your goals.

12-week Weight Control Medication Support Group

12-week 75-minute weekly online Weight Control Medication Support Group for individuals who are taking one of the weight loss medications or just considering it, or taking a weight control medication to prevent regaining lost weight. You don't need to be taking one of the medications to join this group.

26-week Weight Control Program

26-Week, 75-minute weekly online Lifestyle Change Weight Control Group for individuals who would like to lose weight or prevent regaining weight you've lost, with or without weight control medications. Groups are led by a clinical psychologist, registered dietitian/nutritionist, and exercise physiologist.

12-week Rainbow Modules (Our Follow-Up Program)

12-week 75-minute weekly online Follow-up Group Sessions for graduates of any of our programs who would like to lose more weight or prevent regaining the weight they’ve lost. Renew and continue these 12-week sessions for as long as you like.

Transformation Weight Control has its origins going back to 2002 when Rich Weil created the weight loss program at the world-renowned New York Obesity Research Center at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City, now known as  Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital.

WELCOME! How’d I come up with the name Transformation? I’m in the 43rd year of my career, and I started thinking about the many comments I’ve frequently made to my clients and patients over all these years, and “transform yourself” kept popping up. It was a natural. Let us help you transform you!

I don’t know a soul on this planet who woke up one day and said, “Gee, wouldn’t it be great to have a problem with my weight.” The problems with your weight are not a lack of willpower, not a lack of self-discipline, moral failing, nor some weird character flaw. It’s not your fault. Join us… we’ll tell it how it is, and we’ll show you what to do.
