Healthy Aging and Body Weight Workshop!
We’re pleased to announce our first 6-week Healthy Aging and Body Weight Workshop!
We’re coming at you with the three components of healthy aging:
Behavior, Nutrition, and Exercise!
BEHAVIOR CHANGE affects aging through evolving physical and cognitive capacities. New habits may be more difficult to adopt due to health limitations or set routines. You may struggle with customized approaches, such as small-step goals and social reinforcement, encouraging adaptability, and supporting healthier and enhanced well-being in later life. But with insight, social support, understanding age-related changes, and expert leadership, aging can be accompanied by effective behavior modification, promotion of healthier lifestyles, and improved well-being.
NUTRITION significantly impacts aging by influencing health, longevity, and quality of life. The aging population faces multiple nutritional challenges, and understanding more about the physiology of aging can help you prepare for what may come. A diet rich in colorful vegetables, fruit, fiber, lean proteins, and healthy fats supports heart, brain, and bone health. Proper nutrition and adequate hydration foster resilience and vitality, maintaining quality of life as we age.
EXERCISE enhances vitality in aging, boosting strength, balance, flexibility, fortifying bones, boosting immunity, and heart health. Regular activity, such as walking, dancing or yoga, reduces chronic disease risk, improves mood, and significantly sharpens cognition. It will foster independence, helping you thrive. Embrace movement to maintain energy and resilience for a vibrant, fulfilling life.
