6-Week Virtual Weight Loss & Maintenance Process Group
We’re pleased to announce our second 6-Week Virtual Weight Loss & Maintenance Process Group. The first 6-Week session was a big success.
This is a clinical psychologist-led support group for sustainable change. Our own, Dr. Megan Pietrucha, Psy.D., will lead the group. This is a pilot program, and if demand is there, we will continue it!
WHAT THIS GROUP IS
Dr. Pietrucha believes that lasting change requires more than motivation — it requires insight, support, and a deeper understanding of the patterns that shape our behaviors. That’s what this process group is ALL ABOUT. We don’t know of any other group like it in the country.
This group is designed for individuals who want to lose weight or maintain progress in a way that is sustainable, psychologically grounded, and compassionate. Unlike our traditional psychoeducation group format, this group is process-oriented and explores the emotional, behavioral, and relational factors that influence eating patterns, stress management, motivation and momentum, body image, and self-care.
In a confidential and supportive virtual space, you will:
- Increase your awareness of emotional and behavioral patterns connected to your weight.
- Strengthen your sustainable routines that are aligned with your personal values.
- Develop healthier coping strategies for stress and when you are feeling overwhelmed.
- Build resilience, consistency, and self-trust. Resilience is the number one factor in losing weight and
preventing regain. - Practice self-compassion and radical acceptance.
- Gain accountability and connection within a supportive community of your own peers.
WHAT THIS GROUP IS NOT
This is not a quick-fix program. It is a therapeutic, growth-focused experience for individuals ready to explore the deeper drivers of change and build habits that support long-term well-being.

Start Date: Wed July 22 through Wed August 26.
Time: 6:00pm to 7:15pm ET
Location: Virtual on ZOOM
Frequency: Sessions meet once a week on Wednesdays.
Who: For Everyone! Anyone in the program, graduates, or if you've never been part of the program.
Fee: $45 per session

About Dr. Pietrucha
Dr. Megan Pietrucha, Psy.D. Clinical and Sport Psychologist
Dr. Pietrucha is a licensed clinical and sport psychologist. She specializes in eating concerns, body image, mental health and other mood disorders, life transitions, stress management, and performance psychology. She also provides assessment services, supervision, and clinical consultation.
Dr. Pietrucha completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University and her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University.
Dr. Pietrucha is, as they say, the psychologist’s psychologist. The depth and range of her knowledge, experience and skill, is unprecedented.
